SUMMER WIND
Set on the hilltop overlooking Llandudno beach, this house maximises its natural surroundings through playful architectural choices in form, textures and finishes. This intriguing home has become a modern ode to the hillside and ocean beneath it.
The Logica Celata Programme was the perfect choice for this forward-thinking luxury home. This was the first Logica Celata Programme installed on the African continent. This design stands out from the other kitchen configurations due to the touching conviviality with doors that open to reveal a well-organised and practical system, paying special attention to ergonomics and space optimisation.
For the kitchen island, the clients opted for the Genius Loci programme. This choice is superb for this home with an easily customisable nature and various finishes to choose from. We were able to find the perfect combination of black glass for the doors and distressed brass for the flush Genius Loci drawer. The worktops were done in 10mm Nero Assoluto Black Granite which speaks to the slate flooring that runs through the ground floor of the home. The walnut veneer mirrored the various timber elements featured in window frames and architectural detailing.
The home office has been fitted out with the Load-It system by Porro and features an abundance of modern elements. The back panels have been completed in a hand brushed brass metal finish that mirrors the design executed in the kitchen. The repetition of finishes assists in tying the entire home together in a cohesive and aesthetic design.
