Introducing Vitrum Memisis: Two Souls in One
Valcucine created their first glass kitchen just over 30 years ago and now we are introducing our latest addition to the glass family, the Vitrum Mimesis
Valcucine created their first glass kitchen more than 30 years ago, with an unquestionable drive to create kitchens that are both beautiful and ergonomically friendly. Well-being is at the heart of what we do and this includes the well-being of our planet. While we appreciate the beauty that is derived from natural resources, we also understand that there is space to create these beautiful experiences for the end-user without hindering the planet. This is why we have introduced our newest addition to the glass family, the Vitrum Mimesis.
One of our missions at Valcucine is to secure well-being (of our users and our planet) as we create state of the art kitchens. Through this core value, we want to create products that have as little impact on the environment as possible. While we are ensuring that our designs are ergonomic and functional we are also assuring our end-users that their kitchen is made out of tactile materials that are eco-friendly and non-toxic.
It is imperative to us that while we are improving the well-being of our clients, we are respecting our environment and the uniqueness of our planet. We adhere to a basic rule that underlies all of our designs – to aim on a reduction of materials that impact on the environment. In 1998, Valcucine set up the Bioforest non-profit association to foster a more aware and responsible production culture and to actively restore our natural resources.
Natural materials are favoured in design with wood, stone and glass being preferable finish choices. However, some of these natural materials such as granite and marble, continue to deplete overtime. Their timeless and intriguing beauty is something that we would like to continue to embrace in our programmes but we would like to do so that is environmentally friendly.
Valcucine has found the ideal solution that is both innovative and sustainable. Valcucine has introduced the Vitrum Mimesis, which is the result of ongoing technological and stylistic research into materials. This feature is the perfect solution for those who love the ageless beauty of stone but don’t want to miss out on the practicality and excellent features of glass.
The product is made through using a very high resolution, digital printing system that delivers high-definition images that are more detailed than ever before. These images recreate the appearance of textures onto glass surfaces. They are essentially mimicking different types of stones including marble and onyx which are incredibly rare and extremely valuable.
This technique is able to deliver the smallest and most beautiful details of the natural materials so that it is hyper realistic but remains practical and environmentally friendly.
